This Privacy Policy explains how RETROGRADE TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED, having its registered office at 312, 25-A Mechanic Nagar, Vikram Urban, Scheme No. 54, Vijay Nagar, Indore – 452010, Madhya Pradesh, India (“Bodhlok”, “Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”), collects, uses, stores, processes and protects personal information in connection with the Bodhlok platform.
This Privacy Policy applies to registered users, astrologers, customers whose information is entered into Bodhlok, website visitors and persons using our related services.
Cycle calculator data
Dates entered in the cycle calculator are sent to compute the requested comparison. The calculation endpoint does not save these inputs to your profile. Results remain in the current page until you leave or reload. Account and saved birth-chart data remain subject to the policy below.
Information We Collect
Depending upon the services used, we may collect account information such as name, email address, telephone number, profile photograph, location, timezone, language, professional experience, qualifications, specialisations and account settings.
For customers receiving astrology services, Bodhlok may store information entered by an astrologer or customer including name, date of birth, time of birth, place of birth, gender where provided, contact information, consultation questions, horoscope details, charts, dashas, reports, consultation notes, uploaded documents and consultation history.
We may also process subscription information, transaction references, invoices, booking information, payout records and tax information such as PAN or GSTIN where relevant to the services used.
Technical information such as device information, browser information, IP address, login activity, security logs, usage information and system events may also be processed to operate and protect the platform.
Storage of Customer Birth Details and Other Information
When an astrologer creates or manages a customer profile through Bodhlok, the customer’s date of birth, birth time, birth location and other information entered into the platform may be stored electronically on servers or cloud infrastructure used by Retrograde Technologies Private Limited and its authorised service providers.
Storage of such information enables Bodhlok to generate and retrieve kundlis, charts, calculations, reports and consultation history and to provide other requested features.
Information may continue to remain stored until deleted in accordance with available account controls, a valid deletion request, our retention practices or applicable legal requirements.
Consent for Customer Information
Astrologers who submit information relating to their customers are responsible for ensuring that they have the appropriate authority, consent or other lawful basis required to provide that information to Bodhlok.
Where required, the astrologer should inform the customer that their date of birth, birth time, birthplace, contact details, consultation information and related data will be digitally entered, stored and processed through Bodhlok for astrology and consultation-related services.
If an astrologer does not have the appropriate authority to submit a person’s information, that information should not be entered into Bodhlok.
How We Use Information
We process information to create and maintain accounts, generate astrological calculations and reports, save customer records, provide AI-assisted features, manage consultations and bookings, process subscriptions and payments, provide customer support, send service-related communications, maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, improve platform functionality, troubleshoot technical issues, comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
Personal information will not be used for an unrelated purpose merely because it has been submitted to Bodhlok.
AI Processing
Certain Bodhlok features may use artificial intelligence or machine-learning services. Information relevant to a requested AI feature may be processed by Bodhlok systems or authorised AI technology providers to generate the requested interpretation, report or response.
Astrologers should avoid entering information that is unnecessary for the requested astrology service and should ensure they have appropriate authority to submit customer information for AI-assisted processing where required.
AI providers and configurations may change from time to time as the platform develops.
Cloud Hosting and Service Providers
Bodhlok may use authorised third-party service providers for cloud hosting, storage, databases, artificial intelligence, authentication, payment processing, email delivery, messaging, analytics, security, technical support and other infrastructure necessary to operate the platform.
These providers may process information only to the extent reasonably necessary to provide their relevant services, subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.
Personal information may be processed or stored using infrastructure located in India or other jurisdictions, subject to applicable law and any restrictions imposed by Indian authorities.
Google Sign-In and Connected Services
If you sign in using Google or another identity provider, we may receive information authorised through that provider, such as your name, email address, profile photograph and account identifier.
Bodhlok does not receive your Google password. Signing in with Google does not automatically give Bodhlok access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, banking information or other Google services. Any additional access would require separate authorisation.
Payments and Financial Information
Where subscriptions, bookings, payouts or payment services are available, we may process transaction references, amounts, invoices, subscription information, payment status, payout details and necessary tax information.
Payment-card or banking transactions may be handled by authorised payment providers. Their processing is also governed by their own privacy and security practices.
Users should never enter CVVs, UPI PINs, banking passwords, OTPs or other security credentials into consultation notes, astrology reports or ordinary Bodhlok data fields.
Sharing of Information
We may share relevant information with authorised service providers where necessary for hosting, storage, AI processing, authentication, payments, messaging, security, analytics or support.
We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal proceedings, government or regulatory requirements, enforce our agreements, investigate fraud or security incidents, protect the rights and safety of users or the Company, or complete a lawful merger, acquisition, restructuring or transfer of business subject to applicable legal safeguards.
We do not treat customer birth information or consultation records as information that astrologers are free to publicly disclose merely because it has been entered into Bodhlok.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or for legitimate operational, security, accounting, taxation, dispute-resolution and legal requirements.
Different categories of information may therefore have different retention periods. Information that must be retained because of law, fraud prevention, transactions, disputes, backups or security requirements may not be immediately deleted when an account is closed.
When information is no longer reasonably required, it may be deleted, anonymised or otherwise handled in accordance with applicable law and our retention practices.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, misuse or loss.
However, no internet transmission, cloud platform or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials and should notify us promptly if they suspect unauthorised access.
Your Privacy Rights
Subject to applicable law and the relevant legal provisions being in force, individuals may have rights concerning their personal information, including rights to obtain information regarding processing, request correction or updating of inaccurate information, request erasure where applicable, raise grievances and exercise other rights provided under applicable data-protection law.
Requests may be submitted to support@retrogradetech.in. We may need to verify the requester’s identity before acting on a request.
Where information was submitted by an astrologer about their customer, we may need to coordinate with the relevant astrologer or account holder to appropriately address the request.
Children and Minors
Professional Bodhlok accounts are intended for persons legally capable of entering into the applicable agreement.
Astrological information relating to minors may only be entered or processed where the person submitting it has the appropriate parental, guardian or other lawful authority required under applicable law. Additional consent requirements applicable to children’s personal information must be followed where required.
Communications
We may send account, security, booking, payment, service and administrative communications necessary for operating Bodhlok. Promotional communications, where used, will be handled in accordance with applicable consent and communication requirements, and available opt-out mechanisms will be provided where required.
Account Closure and Deletion Requests
Users may request account closure or deletion of eligible personal information by contacting support@retrogradetech.in or through available account controls.
Closure of an account does not automatically require deletion of information that must legitimately be retained for payment records, taxation, accounting, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance or enforcement of legal rights.
Third-Party Links and Services
Bodhlok may contain links or integrations with third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and Bodhlok is not responsible for independent processing carried out by third parties outside our control.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, services, AI providers, business practices or security requirements. The latest version and effective date will be displayed on Bodhlok. Where required by applicable law, material changes may also be communicated to users or may require additional consent.
Applicable Law
This Privacy Policy will be interpreted in accordance with applicable laws of India, including applicable provisions of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 and other applicable privacy, information-technology and consumer-protection requirements, as and when such provisions are in force.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to remove or restrict a right that cannot lawfully be waived.
